I have always had a powerful passion for gardening & our yard is where you would normally find me when I happened to be off on the weekend.
I would spend lengthy amounts of time putting in plants, trimming bushes, & making sure our yard was entirely a showplace for the area.
I worked full time so my weekends were pretty much just working in our yard as my “second work position”. It was all worth it each and every time someone would tell me how beautiful it was. All of this changed when the factory where I worked had to be shut down. The lot of us were all given numerous months severance & this allowed me to easily look for a work position that was even better. I knew I didn’t want to go to another factory & work on another boring assembly line. Because of my passion for growing things I was happy when I saw a commercial for a work position at the local marijuana farm. I couldn’t imagine myself entirely working at a pot farm being in my forties. As it turns out, a vast majority of their workforce is my age or older. They had a work listing for a Bud Trimmer. I thought that this sounded kind of similar to tending plants much as I do so I applied. I was hired & at a pretty enjoyable wage. My work is to go around & trim the buds off the many plants. This is similar to the work you would do if you happened to be working with bonsai plants. I use undoubtedly small scissors to trim the particular section off the plant that is crucial for production. If you had asked me a long while back I never would have seen myself in a work position like the one I have now, although I certainly appreciate it.
