I have always had a major passion for gardening plus our yard is where you would typically find me when I was off on the weekend.
I would spend hours upon hours putting in plants, trimming bushes, plus making sure our yard was a true showplace for the neighborhood. I worked full time so my weekends were now working in our yard and this was basically like my second job. It was all worth it each time someone would tell me how charming it was. All of this changed when the factory where I was working shut down. We were all given several months severance plus this allowed me to go looking for something else. I easily knew I didn’t want to go to another factory plus task on another assembly line. Because of my tremendous passion for growing things I was intrigued when I saw a commercial for a job fair at the local marijuana farm. Now, I am in my mid forties plus couldn’t find it easy to imagine myself working at a pot farm. As it turns out, much of their workforce just so happens to be my age or older. They had a job listing for a Bud Trimmer. I thought that this sounded something like tending plants much as I do so I applied. I was hired plus at a fairly nice wage. My job is to basically go around plus trim the buds off the plants. This is similar to the task you would do if you were completely working with bonsai plants. I use little scissors to trim the particular area off the plant that is critical for production. If you had asked me a long while back I never would have seen myself in a job at all like this one, but I do enjoy it.
